Pentax *ist series: 2003-2004:

2003: *ist:

The *ist film camera was produced at a time when others were launching digital cameras. Although being a good camera with improved AF system, it was never going to reach any status, and was sold in low quantities. Size: 122x84x63,5. Weight: 335 grams. Sn: 5694032.

Controls:

From the looks of it, at least the front and top, this might as well be a member of the MZ-family.

Controls:

The LCD back screen, though, was pointing into the digital future.

Lens:

A very light kit lens, the 28-80.

Takumars/Auto/Super came with either black on white or white on black. The few reports of any other colour come from post production homework.Probably yours too.

Maybe I'm wrong. If so, please let me know, as I'm seeing some confusing info on various forums about this issue.
